As a Senior Consultant with OnLocation, Mr. Sanders has twenty-one years of experience as an operations research analyst in the energy industry. For EIA, Mr. Sanders has developed
models of the environmental and economic impact of alternative emission control technologies required by the Clean Air Act Amendments. He has developed and implemented models for DOE, EIA
and private clients of optimal generation capacity expansion and production costing employing various optimization algorithms. For the RUS in the New Hampshire Electric Cooperative
Bankruptcy, Mr. Sanders was a senior participant in a detailed assessment of the potential wholesale power markets in New England. He has extensive experience in project management for
complex computer assisted analyses including the development, maintenance, and utilization of large scale optimization models; design and analysis of model simulations; and development of
analysis reports. Mr. Sanders played a central role on Electricity Market Module development team that developed the National Energy Modeling System (NEMS). He is the principal architect of the POEMS modeling framework and TRADELEC(tm) model.
